Veteran actor and filmmaker Anupam Kher’s son Sikandar has revealed that he is encouraging his mother, actress and politician Kirron Kher, to return to acting, saying she has not quit the profession.
Kirron, who joined the BJP in 2009 and served as the MP from Chandigarh from 2014 to 2024, saw her film appearances become less frequent after entering politics and undergoing treatment for multiple myeloma.
Sikandar also candidly said he recently urged her to step away from politics, arguing that her straightforward nature does not suit the “ruthlessly crooked” approach he believes is needed to succeed in politics.
