Prime Minister Modi launched the new rallying cry “We Will Do It” (alongside “Desh Ke Liye”) at the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabha in New Delhi, marking 25 continuous years in public office that began as Chief Minister of Gujarat on October 7, 2001.
Addressing a packed gathering at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, Modi declared that the nation’s 140 crore citizens possess the collective energy and solutions to overcome every hurdle. He emphasized that a century ago the population stood under 40 crore, and today’s scale is an unstoppable engine for transformation.
The roadmap laid out under the new mantra targets milestone achievements by 2047:
Elevating India into the top three global economies
Achieving full self-reliance and establishing a global manufacturing hub
Expanding deep into space exploration
Contending to host the Olympic Games
Modi cautioned that political fragmentation and vote-bank division remain major internal roadblocks, stressing that basic necessities like water and electricity transcend caste or community lines. Pointing to the recent global praise for Indian aviation resilience such as a flydubai pilot foiling a mid-air crisis, Modi expressed total conviction that the world will soon celebrate indigenous “Made in India” aircraft and comprehensive national prosperity.
