BJP Leader Aims for Gujarat Model Transformation in Bengal

Kolkata Leader of the Opposition in West Bengal, Suvendu Adhikari, announced a bold vision today to reshape the state using the development blueprint of Gujarat. Speaking at a press briefing, Adhikari stated that his immediate goal is to achieve 50 percent progress toward this benchmark within the next five years.

He criticized the current administration for economic stagnation, industrial decline, and a lack of job opportunities for the state’s youth. Adhikari asserted that West Bengal urgently requires a radical shift toward pro-business policies, robust infrastructure development, and transparent governance to restore its past economic glory.

According to Adhikari, replicating the successful industrial and manufacturing strategies seen in Western India is the only sustainable way to generate employment and halt the migration of local talent. The leader called upon party workers and the public to support a comprehensive roadmap focused on ease of doing business, rural electrification, and substantial investment in technology and manufacturing sectors.
