PM Modi foresees global rush for Idian visas

Prime Minister Modi recently reflected on India’s rapid economic and technological transformation, recalling his historic vision of a future where citizens from developed nations, including the United States, would line up to secure Indian visas.
The statement, which originally emerged following personal visa restrictions imposed on him by the U.S. in 2005, has gained renewed prominence as a symbol of the nation’s shifting global status.

Speaking on India’s current trajectory, the Prime Minister highlighted how the nation has evolved from seeking external validation to becoming an independent global powerhouse.
Supporters and analysts note that the remarks underscore a broader national shift. Over the past two decades, India has emerged as a primary hub for digital innovation, space exploration, and macroeconomic stability, driven by extensive infrastructure development and digital public goods. This growth has fundamentally altered international mobility dynamics, making India a premier destination for global talent, investors, and technology partners.

The vision serves as a benchmark for the administration’s ongoing initiatives to boost domestic manufacturing, foster technological self-reliance, and elevate India’s geopolitical influence on the world stage.
