In one of the most monumental creative alignments in Indian cinema, mega-producer Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series has officially joined forces with National Award-winning actor-filmmaker Rishab Shetty and acclaimed director Sandeep Singh to present a grand, two-part historical biopic titled The Pride of Bharat – Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
This highly anticipated cinematic saga, celebrating the8 extraordinary life, military genius, and enduring vision of the legendary 17th-century Maratha warrior king, is officially scheduled to commence filming in early 2027.
Billed as a definitive tribute to the spirit of Swarajya, the two-part masterpiece will comprehensively chronicle Shivaji Maharaj’s defining battles, profound strategic foresight, and the immense sacrifices that shaped history. The scale of the production is unprecedented, combining an expansive powerhouse ensemble cas including Bhumi Pednekar, Arjun Rampal, and Vivek Oberoi with a top-tier creative team uniting the finest talent from across India and international markets.
Driven by a shared sense of cultural responsibility to bring this glorious chapter of Indian history to global screens, the film features a massive INR 500 Crore budget across both parts and is being mounted for a spectacular multilingual worldwide release.
Presented by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series Films, the magnum opus is a joint production of T-Series Films and Legend Studios. The project is directed by Sandeep Singh, produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar, and co-produced by Rishab Shetty, Shiv Chanana, and Kabiir Sadanand, with a screenplay co-written by Rishi Virmani and Sandeep Singh.
