Nepal PM Balendra Shah visits India late November 2026

Nepal Prime Minister Balendra Shah is preparing for his first official bilateral visit to India in late November 2026, marking a significant milestone in relations between Kathmandu and New Delhi.
As both nations finalize the itinerary, high-level diplomatic ground-work is already underway, with Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri scheduled to travel to Kathmandu to coordinate the agenda. The three-day visit is expected to focus on strengthening cross-border infrastructure, advancing hydroelectric power projects, addressing regional trade and transit issues, and securing assistance for recovery efforts following recent catastrophic floods in Nepal.

Prime Minister Shah, who assumed office in March 2026, seeks to build a practical and result-oriented framework for cooperation with Indian leadership, opening a new chapter of economic and strategic partnership between the two neighbors.
