News comes to the fore that Aziz Makki Mumbai based well-known social worker educationist, has been nominated as a member of the panel of Community Leaders floated by National Commission for Minorities (NMC), Govt. of India.
The panel will advise the New Delhi-headquartered National Commission on the social, educational and welfare activities of the minority community in Maharshtra state.
Shariq Saeed, Under Secretary to the Government of India, has released the list of names of the Panel members of the Community Leaders of the State of Maharashtra that figured the name of Makki, a well respected name in the community.
Makki has undertaken several community services, educational initiatives, free medical aid and was an helping hand towards the needy students. Amid the Covid-19 pandemic, Makki Sahab has rendered Yeomen service.
Given that for all his services on humanitarian grounds he has been honoured with several awards and felicitated by various organizations and institutions.
Reacting to the appointment, Makki Sahab attributed that the job of the committee is to guide the NCM from time to time and that he will meet people extensively and inform the NCM Chairman and members, what best could be done for the community at large, their issues and so on.
Makki Sahab also emphasised that it will be his endeavour to be of immense service towards the implementation of the various government schemes for the minority. The community will also be updated on the of the various schemes of Govt. Of India.
