Tragedy struck Kharghar Award Event on Sunday 11 people die due to sunstroke
Amid Amit Shah’s who was kn a day’s visit to Mumbai adresssed the massive gathering in Khargar on Sunday envelopes in tragedy
It was an open ground and the unbearable heat took the lives of atleast who died due to sunstroke, while over 120 people suffered from heat-related health issues due to sun exposure. It is learnt that 50 people were rushed to the nearby MGM Hospital in Kharghar.
The occasion was the Maharashtra Bhushan award ceremony in Navi Mumbai’s Kharghar on Sunday.
As per Kharghar police official a couple of patients are on ventilator support at hospitals in Navi Mumbai and Panvel city and their condition is being monitored.
Maha Chief Minister Eknath Shinde visited the MGM Hospital where the patients are being treated. The chief minister has announced a compensation of Rs five lakh to the kin of those deceased.
Reportedly, twenty-four people are currently being treated at the hospital.
Meanwhile, Amit Shah conferred the award on spiritual leader and social reformer
