Bhumika Chawla admits Salman Khan isn’t her best friend
When Bhumika Chawla was recently quizzed if socialising impacted her work in any way.
For those unversed Bhumika Chawla rose to eminence after she shared screen space Salman Khan in the 2003 film ‘Tere Naam’, which was the directorial of the late Satish Kaushik. But, she recently admitted that they aren’t the best of friends. But notwithstanding that, she shared screen space with him in ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’, which features a large ensemble.
In an her recent interaction with the media with Bhumika was asked if her quiet personality and the idea to not socialise during film shoots affected her career, she affirmed that she firmly believes in destiny, and the only project she regrets losing out on is ‘Jab We Met’.
Bhumika mentioned one thing about Salman Khan..He told her that I just used to meet him and say ‘good morning’ and then it was directly ‘good night’and this he said this amid the trailer launch of the film. She was very busy reading her books, and quiet in her own zone. May be that’s why we weren’t able to connect beyond a point.
Bhumika was also reminded that most of Salman’s co-stars often gush over him, and she said, “Once, he hosted a party in Hyderabad during Tere Naam.
She graced the occasion, but made her exit at 11 pm. On this film I also went a couple of times, but that’s it.” Asked if it has worked negatively for her, she quipped, “It’s possible. But she doesn’t think so, because she believe in destiny. If it’s written in your destiny, nobody can stop you, and if it isn’t, then it doesn’t matter how much you party, you still won’t get work.”
‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’, notwithstanding opening to negative reviews, has generated more than Rs 130 crore in collection worldwide in just five days. Bhumika described ‘KKBKKJ’ as a ‘mass’ film designed for Salman’s die-hard fans.
