Govt stalls Dy. CM Ajit Pawar’s entry in family bastion postpones outreach programme
News comes to the fore that Ajit Pawar’s first major public outing as Deputy Chief Minister, alongside his contemporary Devendra Fadnavis and Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, in his bastion, Pune got off to a fallacious start with the state government outreach event, ‘Shasan Aplya Dari’(government at your doorstep) that got postponed due to “unavoidable circumstances”.
Although, a new date hasn’t been set, the move comes against the backdrop of hectic consultations in Mumbai over a possible Cabinet expansion following the induction of Ajit Pawar and his cohort of eight NCP MLAs into the BJP-Shiv Sena government.
The event, most likely to be held later this month, is politically notable since it would be held in Purandar tehsil, an area that falls under the Baramati Lok Sabha constituency represented by NCP’s working president Supriya Sule.
