On Wednesday, Ashish Shrinath Banginwar of Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Medical College, Pune,
accepting bribe from a student
to secure an MBBS seat in the college caught the eye of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) workers who resorted to vandalism of the dean’s office and wreaked havoc.
They caused extensive damage by ransacking furniture and computers in Dean’s cabin. Multiple computers, tables, and chairs were left in a state of disarray.

The MNS student Sena has demanded stringent action against the Dean and his associates involved in the scandal.

The MNS demonstrators strongly protested against the dean, who was red-handedly caught while accepting a bribe of Rs 10 lakh to guarantee an MBBS seat in the institution.

The Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical Hospital is under the administration of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC).

As per the student successfully cleared the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2023 and was granted a seat at the Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical College.
