What entranced all those present at the Ram Idol consecration was Ram Lalla’s Eyes chiselled by Arun Yogiraj. It was sublime, mesmerising and divine.
When the scarf covering the eyes of the new Ram Lalla idol in Ayodhya was taken off and the camera zoomed in, crores of devotees of Lord Ram remained entranced. The nation gave a gasp of amazement. It was those ‘eyes’.
As the world travailed for the ‘pran pratishtha’, the idol carved out of shyam shila (blue-black stone) wasn’t a surprise.
