Santosh Sivan Cinematographer boards Rajkumar Santoshi’s ‘Lahore 1947′
Rajkumar Santosh has roped in Santosh Sivan
as cinematographer for his upcoming directorial Lahore 1947. Actor Aamir Khan, who was associated with Santoshi for the classic comedy Andaz Apna Apna, produces the film, featuring Sunny Deol in the lead role.
As per a press release, Sivan, acclaimed for his exceptional work in Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi cinema is the director of photography and cameraman for Lahore 1947.
As of now he is the topmost cameraman in the country. Earlier, Santosh and and Sivan worked together in two films, Pukar and Barsaat in which he was cinematographer.
Santoshi reveals in a statement that he directed a film titled Halo and that was the only film he acted in. Santoshi and Sivan share decades of relationships with each other and this time they are reuniting with Lahore 1947.’ Oscar Awardee AR Rahman composes music for the film from lyrics by Javed Akhtar.
Meanwhile, further details of the plot of Lahore 1947 have been kept under wraps. The film will feature music by A R Rahman and lyrics by Javed Akhtar.
