Squally weather impacts UAE ‘Ahlan Modi’ event in Abu Dhabi
The much-anticipated ‘Ahlan Modi’ community event to take place in Abu Dhabi has undergone down scale due to squally weather. There were flashes of lightening accompanied by thunderstorm and rains.
PM Modi who has landed in Abu Dhabi to unveil the BAPS Hindu Temple in Abu Dhabi was to be featured in the event.
Initially, 60,000 people had confirmed their attendance through a registration website, designed exclusively for Indian-origin participants.
But, now, in the backdrop of the weather condtions, the event is expected to host between 35,000 and 40,000 attendees only.
