SP renominates Jaya Bachchan for fifth consecutive term in Rajya Sabha
Ahead of the Lok Sabha Polls, the Samajwadi Party has re-nominated Veteran actress and politician Jaya Bachchan for fifth consecutive term in the Rajya Sabha.
The 75-year old Padma Shri Awardee, who has served as an SP Member since 2004, filed her nomination papers on Tuesday and declared assets worth a whopping Rs 1,578 crore along with her husband Amitabh Bachchan.
As per an election affidavit filed by her, her personal net worth for the financial year 2022-23 stands at Rs 1,63,56,190, while Amitabh Bachchan’s wealth is reported to be Rs 273,74,96,590 for the same period.
