PM Modi on Sunday offered prayers at the Dwarkadhish Temple in Gujarat’s Dwarka, by diving into deep water.

Terming it as a “divine experience”, PM Modi asserted that he felt “connected to an ancient era of spiritual grandeur”.

Taking to his X (twitter) he wrote that he is in Dwarka to offer prayers at the submerged
DwarkadhishTemple and felt it a divine experience.

At the tempIe he felt connected to an ancient era of spiritual grandeur and timeless devotion. May Bhagwan Shri Krishna bless us all.

Dwarka, a legendary city mentioned in Hindu scriptures, is believed to have been ruled by Lord Krishna. According to Hindu belief, the city was eventually swallowed by the sea after Krishna’s departure from Earth.

He added that today Today, he experienced those moments which will stay with him forever.

While addressing a rally after the Dwarka Darshan, PM Modi said that Archeologists have written a lot about the Dwarka city hidden underwater. In our scriptures also, it is said about Dwarka that it was a city with beautiful gates and tall buildings, as tall as the top of the world. Lord Krishna himself constructed this city.

PM went on to add that when he went deep in the sea, he experienced the divinity and he bowed down in front of Dwarkadhish, took a peacock feather with him and placed it at Lord Krishna’s feet.

He had always been curious to go there and touch the remains of the ancient Dwarka city. He further added that he is full of emotions today… A decades-old dream was completed today

Earlier today, PM Modi inaugurated the Sudarshan Setu, a four-lane cable-stayed bridge connecting Okha to Beyt Dwarka island, where the Lord Sri Krishna temple is situated.

Meanwhile, the Gujarat government had, earlier, announced plans to introduce a submarine service in Dwarka, to help devotees explore the relicts of the ancient city.
