Sameer Wankhede: NCB after African Drug Mafia, local conduits and Factories
Sameer Wankhede- Zonal Head-Mumbai, NCB said, “NCB Mumbai in its continuous fight against Drug Suppliers and Peddlers in Mumbai, NCB Mumbai launched an operation at Nala Sopara, Thane and seized intermediate quantity of Cocaine & Mephedrone on 06 & 07.07.2021 and intercepted 02 persons including 01 Nigerian national. Interrogation of the said accused is going on.
Case details:
On specific information, a team of NCB Mumbai with the help of Mira Road Police intercepted one Indian National namely Suffran Farooq Lakdawala and seized Cocaine in intermediate quantity at Kashimara Naka Chowk, Mira Road (E) on 06.07.2021.
On preliminary disclosure of Suffran Farooq Lakdawala, a team of NCB Mumbai was intercepted one Nigerian national namely Blessing Edwin Okereke and recovered Mephedrone and Cocaine in intermediate quantity at Nala Sopara on 07.07.2021.
During the operation, a unique modus operandi was uncovered by NCB. The accused Suffran Farooq Lakdawala travelled to various cities of India to deliver the drugs specially Cocaine via air & road. He was procuring drugs from various African nationals from Delhi and Mumbai.
NCB Mumbai registered the case in Crime No 64/2021.
