Sameer Wankhede: Women Drug Mafia on the run, Rs 77.92 Lakh cash, 585.5 grams Gold, 110 gram MD Drug recovered
NCB Mumbai in its continuous fight against Drug Suppliers and Peddlers in Mumbai, NCB Mumbai busted a major drug cartel run at Bandra- Kurla area in Mumbai and seized a total 109.8 grams of Mephedrone (Commercial Quantity), cash Rs. 77.92 lakh & 585.5 grams of Gold ornaments worth Rs. 29.4 lakhs on 18 & 19.07.2021 and intercepted 03 persons. Interrogation of the said accused is going on.
Case details:
On specific information, a team of NCB Mumbai mounted surveillance at near LBS Road, Bori Kabrasthan, Palid Khadi, Pattrewali Chawal, Kurla (W), Mumbai and intercepted two persons namely Shahnawaz Shahid Khan & Aalam Naeem Khan and seized 56 grams of Mephedrone & Cash Rs. 4.20 lakh at LBS Road, Kurla (W), Mumbai on 18.07.2021.
As per preliminary disclosure of the accused, a team of NCB Mumbai raided the house of one suspected lady and seized 53.8 grams of Mephedrone, Cash Rs. 73.72 lakh & 585.5 grams of Gold ornaments worth Rs. 29.4 lakhs at Bandra (W), Mumbai on intervening night of 18&19.07.2021.
On follow up operation, NCB Mumbai intercepted one peddler namely Ravi Arhhan Memon in early morning of 19.07.2021 at Bharat Nagar, BKC.
NCB Mumbai had received lot of complaints from Residents of Bandra as well as emails about this organised drug gang and it’s drug distribution activity especially amongst underage children. The gang was headed by 2 ladies and they were having numerous drug peddlers under their command. They were selling drugs specially Mephedrone in the areas of Bandra, BKC, Kurla and other places.
NCB Mumbai registered the case in Crime No 70/2021.
