Aamir Khan plans theatrical release of “Sitaare Zameen Par” on Christmas 2024
News comes to the fore that Actor-filmmaker Aamir Khan plans for theatrical release of
“Sitaare Zameen Par” on Christmas 2024.
However, producer Ravi Bhagchandka says it’s too early to take a call.
Reportedly, Aamir Khan’s last film “Laal Singh Chaddha” proved a debacle at the box-office.
But, there’s a tremendous expectation from his upcoming film, “Sitaare Zameen Par”. Earlier this year, Aamir confirmed that he and his team are trying their best to release the sports film “Sitaare Zameen Par”on Christmas this year.

Notedly, Sitaare Zameen Par is a remake of the Spanish film Campeones released in 2018.
Interacting with the media, Ravi Bhagchandka revealed that he was impressed with its trailer that he saw at the 68th Berlin International Film Festival, 2018 and it motivated him to see the film the next day at the festival.
He also realized that there’s a
potential for its remake in India. and added that he has a problem. When he read the script in one go, he knew it was a crackling story and bought the rights soon after. Eventually, Aamir saw it and loved it.
Ravi Bhagchandka also praised fellow actor-producer Aamir Khan saying that when Aamir is exploring a subject, the experiences, insight and eye for detail he has is fantastic.
It isn’t ’s about weaving in the nuances into a story, it’s also on communicating it to the audience. He will make things stand out in the story, which didn’t register with him when he read it before. He can tell the same story but with a fresh takeaway.
When asked whether Sitaare Zameen Par will make it to theatres on Christmas 2024, Ravi replied that it was too early to take a call.
If Sitaare Zameen Par does release on Christmas, it’ll clash with the much-awaited comic caper, Welcome To The Jungle featuring Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Johny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Daler Mehndi, Mika Singh, Rahul Dev, Mukesh Tiwari, Sharib Hashmi, Inaamulhaq, Zakir Hussain, Yashpal Sharma, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Jacqueline Fernandez and Disha Patani.
Sanjay Dutt, too, was a part of
the film originally but has now opted out of the film.
Welcome To The Jungle is the third part of the Welcome franchise. Incidentally, the first part, Welcome released in 2007 also released on Christmas and clashed with an Aamir Khan-starrer, Taare Zameen Par. That’s not all. Though it’s not a second part of Taare Zameen Par, Sitaare Zameen Par does remind one of the 2007 cult classic due to the similar title.
