When Rishi Kapoor recounted that Amitabh Bachchan was a ‘toofan’ in his career
Rishi Kapoor once recounted that Amitabh Bachchan emerged as a ‘toofan’ in his career and how he felt the actor didn’t credit his co-stars.
Rishi Kapoor in his 50 years has worked in big banners and filmmakers.
He left an impact on his fans and audiences with characters like Raj in Bobby, Dev in Prem Rog, and Raju in Sargam. He embarked in acting in 1973 released film Bobby in which he shared screen space with Dimple Kapadia. And this was the same year when Amitabh Bachchan established himself as the angry young man with his Prakash Mehra’s directorial Zanjeer.
He went on to quote that he was battling with ‘andhi’ and ‘toofan’ called Amitabh Bachchan. It was his era, his angry young man era. At a time when every hero started to do action films, posing with guns and weapons for their posters, Rishi was a poor man standing with a guitar in his hand.
