It’s an established fact that actress-turned politician Kangana Ranaut is one among the celebrities known to speak her mind and heart fearlessly.
Recently, the actress praised another very Jaya Bachchan hailing her as one of the most
dignified women in the Indian Film Imdustry.
No doubt, Kangana and Jaya share a past with certain difficulties, but with the recent statement of Kangana, it appears the actress has nothing but high respect for Jaya Bachchan.
While speaking to a news channel, she quoted, that Jaya Bachchan is a very reputed actress of the Indian Film industry.
Frankly speaking she’s acknowledged for her short temper, but at the same time, she would like to give her the due credit.
Amidst the 70s, at a time when women had to roast their skin in the harsh lighting, she did films like Guddi back then.
As per Kangana, Jaya sent a message of women’s empowerment through her work, and she did that when this concept of empowerment was not even recognized in the industry. The way she carries herself in Rajya Sabha, Kangana feels good that we have this kind of representation in the film industry.
In the midst of her dialogue with the media outlet, Kangana also addressed her past attack on Jaya Bachchan.
For those unversed, in 2020, Jaya Bachchan amidst a Parliament session, after the demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput and affirmed that people employed by the film industry are themselves attacking it.
Reacting to the same, Kangana said, that’s fine if we say something to each other. Kangana also believes that Jaya Bachchan is a senior personelder to us. If she said something to us, we should take it in stride.
Apart from being an active member of politics, both Jaya and Kangana are acknowledged for their acting prowess. The actresses have many successful movies under their belts, and they continue to entertain the audience with their work.
While Jaya was last seen in the 2023 blockbuster, ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani,’ Kangana is all set for the release of her upcoming movie – ‘Emergency.’
