Delhi born Richa Sharma, later moved to Afghanistan and New York due to her father’s posting. None dreamt that Richa’s fate was about to transform on one family night in New York.
Reportedly, Richa, Sharma went to watch Dev Anand’s ‘Des Pardes’ in 1978 and got the opportunity to meet the legendary actor.
A 14-year-old Richa desired to be an actress but Dev Anand asked her to complete her studies first. But this was not the end. The actor handed out his number and stayed connected with the Sharmas.

Two years into college, Sharma got her big break. She was signed for Hum Naujawan in 1985. She made her debut with Dev Anand, Tabu and others. However, Sharma lived for a pretty small stint in Bollywood. She delivered only five films -Anubhav, Insaaf Ki Awaaz, Sadak Chhap and Aag Hi Aag. Post that, she was married and later was diagnosed with cancer.
Richa Sharma did get famous and her talent was discovered by Dev Anand.
Reportedly, Richa Sharma was at a party at Sea Rock Hotel while attending a disco with her sister Enna, Dev Anand’s daughter and Bunty Behl. It is said that she wore some red glittery earrings that blinged its way to the heart of the superstar who noticed her for this. wife of Sanjay Dutt. The duo got married in 1988 and in 1996 Sharma passed away due to cancer. The couple have a daughter named Trishala.
As of now Sanjay Dutt is married to Manyata Dutt and has two children
