Meenakshi Seshadri shares on her early Bollywood days
Off late Meenakshi Seshadri has been headlining in a bid to bag role in Hindi films.
The actress reminisced on her days on the set of Shahenshah featuring Amitabh Bachchan and shared a delightful comment he made regarding her youthful energy.
In Shahenshah initially Dimple Kapadia was cast as the female lead. But, in a new development, the makers decided to try out Meenakshi Seshadri with Amitabh Bachchan. She recalled how the original tracks for the songs were adjusted to suit her dancing style, especially for the popular number featuring her solo performance. This adaptation highlighted her talent and added to the film’s charm.
On the first day of Ooty, shoot, Meenakshi felt completely at ease, filled with youthful confidence and unaware of Amitabh Bachchan’s presence.
Amid filming a scene in shorts, she was so relaxed that Bachchan remarked on how newcomers often seem lost in their own world. His words resonate with her even today as she reflects on her early days and the passage of time.
While Shahenshah was their first collaboration, Amitabh Bachchan and Meenakshi Seshadri also worked together in films like Gangaa Jamunaa Saraswati Toofan and Akayla.
Meenakshi’s final film was the action thriller Ghatak: Lethal where she featured alongside Sunny Deol. After her marriage, she relocated to the United States.
She looked gorgeous and fantastic in Shahenshah.
