K’wood’s renowned actor Suriya shares on his move to Mumbai

The National Award-winning actor Suriya has made Mumbai city his home now

Suriya, who recently shifted base to Mumbai with his wife, Jyotika and their children, Diya and Dev, expresses his likeness to the vibe of the city that has many opportunities and a city that never sleeps.

In a recent media interaction, he opened up how he will continue to shuttle between Mumbai and Chennai for work and why the move to Mumbai is right for his family

The National Award-winning actor has bought an apartment in the city, and his kids are enrolled in a school here. He went on to add that he and his ‘Chota” parivar enjoy being in Mumbai. Earlier, he used to shuttle between Chennai and Mumbai but now it’s easier to meet people for work because he has moved here. His wife, Jyotika, is from Mumbai, so they decided to take this step. His kids, Diya and Dev, have also enrolled in a Mumbai-based school, and are quite settled here. He wanted his wife to enjoy her time with her parents and friends here. He enjoys driving around and taking his kids for outdoor activities. The city is full of interesting opportunities for his kids, wife and self.

Suriya is in talks with filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra for the mythological drama Karnan. He shared, his meeting with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra went very well. But he can’t reveal much about it. When asked if we will see him more in Bollywood films now that he has moved here, he replied, he will continue to work in Chennai and Mumbai. If there are interesting offers from the Hindi film industry, why not? After all Mumbai is home now, but will continue to shuttle between Chennai and Mumbai as he has a home in Chennai, too.

On the work front, Surya was last seen in the film Kanguva.
