Even when Sridevi was at the peak of her career, never took it for granted.
In an interview, she had mentioned that she was busy with her films. She was at the top and nobody is there behind her.

Today is her seventh death anniversary.
This was when Sridevi could look back on years of domination over Hindi cinema but also a time when she was fighting to keep her career at an even keel.
She had already achieved what most people aspire to in a lifetime. Her attitude is not that she has to be here, so let her do films.
Today, if she wanted to do films just to keep herself busy, she could have signed 15, 20 films.
But nevèr wanted to do that. She wanted to do very good films, not lots of films.
Rekha was No. 1 only for a short while amidst ’80-’81, Hema Malini reigned from ’73-’79, while she had the longest spell: ’83-’91. How did she feel to be on top for so many years. She never thought about it at all.
Because she was busy with her films.
She never relaxed. She never thought ‘Aah she is at the top and nobody is there behind her. All the time she used to be on her toes.
Till such time she is in this industry, she has to be on her toes.
