5-day working for Banks from April 2025 RBI announces new work schedule
W.e.f. from April, all banks across the country will operate five days a week, from Monday to Friday
Under this new working schedule, Saturdays and Sundays have been officially declared as holidays for banks.
The new schedule is expected to provide much-needed relief to banking sector employees, improving their work-life balance while also enhancing productivity and efficiency. The move aligns the banking sector with standard corporate working hours, allowing employees to spend more time with family and friends.
New Banking Hours:
Monday to Friday: Banks will operate as usual Saturday & Sunday: Banks will remain closed on Sunday.
The RBI’s decision is being seen as a positive step for bank employees, customers, and the banking industry as a whole, ensuring a more balanced and efficient work environment.
