The red carpet of the much-anticipated historical drama Kesari Veer saw not only glitz and glamour, but also heartfelt emotions as veteran actor Aditya Pancholi and his wife, Zarina Wahab, spoke with pride about their son, Sooraj Pancholi.
The actor, who was last seen in 2021 with Time to Dance has returned to the big screen with a role that is both powerful and meaningful to him.
Speaking to the media at the film’s premiere, Aditya Pancholi couldn’t hide his joy. Praising his son’s resilience, he shared, “he has worked very hard, itni life main problem aane ke bawajood unhone bhot acha mehnat kia, apna focus nahi gavaya. I am very happy and proud about it.”
When asked how he keeps Sooraj motivated through challenging times, the proud father said, “Hum toh unko yehi humesha kehte hai ki bhagwaan main vishwaaas rakho sab kuch theek hojaayega aur voh humaari baat manta hai aur hamme badi Khushi hai.”
Sooraj Pancholi, who has largely remained low-key in recent years, has reportedly been selective about the roles he chooses.
According to veteran actress Zarina Wahab, this role in Kesari Veer aligns closely with his personal preferences. “Actually bhot dino se filme aari thi lekin uski pasand ki film yeh jo milli hai, he is very happy doing it. We all are very happy to see it happen.
The film Kesari Veer, vividly depicts the inspirational story of Hamirji Gohil, a brave Rajput warrior renowned for his unwavering devotion and courage. The story, which is set in mediaeval India, centres on his courageous defence of the revered Somnath Temple and his adherence to Hinduism in the face of the Tughlaq Empire.
