Makers of “Sardaar Ji 3” issue statement in the wake of controversy over the film’s release
Diljit Dosanjh and Neeru Bajwa’s ‘Sardaar Ji’ was among the much-anticipated releases of 2025. There was a time when the initial reports of Pakistani artist Hania Aamir onboarding the movie added to the anticipation.
However, after the Pahalgam attack and India’s stand on boycotting Pakistani artists and content, Hania being a part of ‘Sardaar Ji 3’ has brought heavy criticism to the movie and Diljit Dosanjh.
Amidst this backlash over Hania Aamir’s casting, the makers of Diljit Dosanjh’s ‘Sardaar Ji 3’ have issued a statement.
The makers addressed the controversy and clarified that the movie was shot before the Pahalgam attack and before the growing tensions between India and Pakistan.
The Federation of Western India Cine Employees President has gone in for a stern action to boycott Singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh and the makers of “Sardaar Ji 3 to not only boycott but also to impound his passport and figure the singer-actor and the makers. And that the Federation stand in solidarity with India; thus, they are not releasing the movie in the country and are only reaching the overseas screens.
