Diljit Dosanjh was at the receiving End for his support to Pakistani actress and apart his film Sardaar Ji 3 was barred of its release in India, it got released in Pakistan and other overseas countries. Federation of Western India Cine Employees and the Association of Cine Employees warned producers not to hire him in their movies.Even when he resumed Shoot for Border 2, the associations urged the makers not to work with him.
Now Veteran actor-turned filmmaker Anupam Kher in an interview shared his views on Diljit Dosanjh
working with Pakistani
actress Humaira Aamir.
He went on to say that it was Diljit’s personal choice,
Adding that our passport has a nationality. Our loyalty is to our country first. He always believes that what he applies to his home, he will apply to his country.”
Citing an example, he added, If someone comes to him, his mother or sister or misbehaves, and hen with great humility, doesn’t criticise anyone, everybody has the choice, has the whatever they want to say. But then if he sings or harmonium well, and he will say okay, you slapped his sister, but you sing very well. Please come to our home. I won’t do that. If I won’t let him come to my home, then if I won’t let it happen at my home, then how do I let this happen with my country?”
Veteran actor Anupam Kher is currently gearing up for the release of his much-awaited film Tanvi: The Great, set to hit the big screens on July 18.
The film featuring Kher and debutant Shubhangi Dutt, follows the story of a 21-year-old girl, Tanvi, who suffers from autism spectrum. She dreams of joining the Indian Army to fulfil her deceased father’s wish. The movie is written, directed and produced by Anupam Kher. As of now, Kher is on a promotional spree.
