In a celebutante scene which leaves the audiences in splits, Devgn’s character is mistaken for a decorated Army Colonel by a crowd eager to hear tales of valor against Pakistan. With no battlefield experience to his name and cornered by expectations, he does what any Bollywood-loving hero would do—turn to the silver screen for inspiration.
Devgn recreates one of Border’s most emotional scenes, impersonating Sunny Deol, Sunil Shetty, and Jackie Shroff. From Sunny’s famous fist-pounding intensity to Jackie’s brooding swagger and Sunil’s heartfelt delivery, Devgn nails each persona with uncanny precision and comic flair. A self-subsistent sequel to the 2012 action-comedy Son of Sardaar, the 2025 film also features Mrunal Thakur, Ravi Kishan, and Sanjay Mishra. It marks the posthumous appearance of actor Mukul Dev. The plot follows a man who pretends to be a war hero to help a young couple gain their traditional parents’ approval for marriage.
Interestingly, the Border spoof emerges at a time when Border 2 is officially in the works. The upcoming sequel brings back Sunny Deol as the iconic army officer, alongside Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahaan Shetty.
