Kareena Prithviraj collaborate for Meghna Gulzar’s Daayra.

Veteran actors Kareena Kapoor Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran share screen for first time in Meghna Gulzar’s directorial “Daayra” being produced under the banner of Junglee Pictures. This was announced in April this year.

In his latest interview, the Prithviraj Sukumaran expressed his excitement for the project and stated that he is depending on Daayra to be a hit feature film upon release.

Meghna has got a wonderful film on paper. Given her skill and craft as a filmmaker, she is much excited and really counting on that being a cracker of a feature film. Sharing over his excitement to work with Kareena Kapoor,

As per Prithiviraj, most of all, the excitement is palpable for her because Kareena is doing the other character. And the film is very much about these two characters.

The actor didn’t reveal much about the film’s plot but mentioned that it had piqued his interest the very moment he read it. He further went on to add that ìIt’s just one of those scripts you read and you just can’t let go. He’s thankful that Meghna thought of him for that role.

Sukumaran, delves into the themes of crime, punishment and justice.
Prithviraj was last seen in Sarzameen, alongside Ibrahim Ali Khan and Kajol. The film set in a turbulent Kashmir, Sarzameen depicts the life of Colonel Vijay Menon (Prithviraj), a man of unwavering commitment and integrity. Kajol plays the role of Meera, a resilient wife and mother while Ibrahim Ali Khan plays the major antagonist, Harman, a young man grappling with shadowy memories and facts.

The film was released on OTT on July 25. Next up, Prithviraj Sukumaran has officially announced his project titled Khalifa.
