Rimi Sen was a stunning actress who burst onto the Bollywood scene with a blockbuster debut in 2003 and went on to highlight remarkable versatility, winning over both filmmakers and audiences with ease.

Yet, just as her career was rising, she made the unexpected decision to distance from the spotlight.

Rimi made her debut in Bollywood with a comedy film Hungama released i. 2003 and which turned out to be a major hit and firmly established her in the industry. Following its blockbuster success, she appeared in several big-budget productions.

Kolkata born Shubhamitra Sen, Rimi Sen took up modelling and advertising before transitioning to films.
Besides an actress, she is also a film producer.

Rimi quickly shot to fame with roles in several blockbuster films, including Dhoom, Golmaal, Phir Hera Pheri, and Kyunki.

Admired for her charm and impeccable comic timing, she emerged as an household name in the 2000s. In 2015, she also appeared on the reality television show Bigg Boss 9.

All through her career, Rimi made several unexpected choices. In a recent online interview she made some candid revelations on her journey in the film industry, admitting, she ruined her career myself. She shouldered full responsibility for the mistakes she believes led to her decline.

Rimi Sen featured in numerous successful films and shared screen space with several top actors. She acted opposite Ajay Devgn in Golmaal, where she was seen in a romantic role. Interestingly, in one of her interviews, she disclosed that she was repeatedly being offered similar kinds of roles

Disillusioned by the lack of variety, she decided to give it a day at the peak of her career. Since then, Rimi Sen has distanced from the limelight.
