Marathi actress Ashvini Bhave’s rides Mumbai Metro Video goes viral

Following the launch of Mumbai Metro’s new Aqua Line (Metro Line 3), by PM Modi, everyone in the city rushed to experience the ride. Among those who joined in was popular Marathi actress Ashvini Bhave, who recently took a ride on the underground metro and was spotted enjoying the journey.

While she lives in the US after marriage, Ashvini often visits India amidst festivals or for film shoots. This time, amidst her Diwali trip, she decided to explore the newly opened metro and shared peeks of her journey online.

Even as many appreciated her enthusiasm and praised the metro’s progress, a section of people weren’t too happy. Some social media users accused her of doing it for publicity and called it a government PR move, especially since the metro coach looked empty in her video.

In the video circulating online, Ashvini Bhave, wearing a beautiful traditional saree, is seen walking down the stairs and entering the metro with excitement. Once inside, she thoroughly enjoyed the ride and her bright smile clearly shows how thrilled she was amidst the journey.
The video posted on X (Formerly Twitter) came with the caption, “Marathi actress Ashwini Bhave rides Mumbai Metro 3 and shares her experience through a viral reel. Marathi actors are appreciating the work done by the Mahayuti Government. Is this the twilight of Thackeray-Pawar hegemony in the Marathi film Industry?”
Social Media Users Question Her Motive
Reacting to the post, a user wrote, “How much did she get to ride this empty train under police protection?”

Another shared, “Pls ask her to ride a local train from Dadar at 9 am on Tuesday.”
“Basically, Metro 3 is already more popular because of its connectivity, of course, instead of Bhave, Bhide ma’am should do a small podcast in running metro dono abt others, I will watch it for sure,” a comment read.
An individual stated, “She came back from the USA, just to ride in the Metro. Hope she will settle back in her home country.”
One more added, “Ashwini Bhide headed the Metro Project. Ashwini Bhave is promoting it. Wow.”
On October 8, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the final phase of Mumbai’s first fully underground Metro Line 3. The 33.5 km Aqua Line is now operational, which connects Aarey and Colaba, providing a fast travel option across the city.
