Rana Daggubati to enter Hindi film industry?

Rana Daggubati is a big name in the South Indian Film Industry after the collosal success of ‘Baahubali The Epic as Bhalladeva, plans are afoot for producing an Hindi film under his home production banner Spirit Media. A source reveals that the Hindi project will feature Manoj Bajpayee. The film is an adaptation from Aravind Adiga’s acclaimed novel ‘Last Man in Tower’.

Also on the horizon is Kaantha, a Tamil-language period drama-thriller featuring Dulquer Salmaan and himself as well. Selvamani Selvaraj directorial film is set for 14 November release. Beyond that, three Telugu titles are in various stages of production: Dark Chocolate, a pulpy dark-comedy thriller co-produced with Waltair Productions; Psych Siddharth, a youth-driven drama presented and distributed by Spirit Media; and Premante, a love-comedy-thriller produced by Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP with Daggubati’s backing.

In a recent media interaction the actor-producer, whose company also distributed ‘All We Imagine As Light’ and ‘Sabar Bonda’, discusses scaling up, nurturing debut filmmakers, and charting his five-year roadmap as a producer post his Baahubali era.
