Shubman Gill to skip second Test against South Africa-neck injury
Given that India Test captain Shubman Gill is likely to sit out from the second and final Test of the ongoing Freedom Trophy with South Africa, the team management has urged all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy to link up with the squad earlier than the original schedule. Nitish was representing India “A” against South Africa “A” in the ongoing unofficial ODI series in Rajkot.
The 22-year-old is part of India’s Test squad for the South Africa series but was released from the series opener in Kolkata given the playing conditions.
