RGV says he isn’t ‘qualified’ to make a romantic film with SRK

Maverick filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma, fondly addressed as RGV has collaborated with Amitabh Bachchan in half a dozen movies, then Nagarjuna and Manoj Bajpayee, but goes on to admit without mincing words that collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan for a romantic film of his type isn’t his cup of tea.
Ram Gopal Varma says he can’t imagine working with Shah Rukh Khan.
RGV maintains that he casts actors strictly based on the demands of the story and its characters, rather than their stardom. The same approach, he says, guided all of his films with Bachchan, from Sarkar released in 2005 to its 2017 threequel Sarkar 3.
Varms goes on to add that Amitabh Bachchan factually has a very immobile face, unusual for an actor of that repute. But the way he conveys through his eyes and voice modulation, sans moving, is a prodigy because that gives him an inherent dignity and an inbuilt poise and classiness, which is very rare. To his knowledge, there’s no other actor who can do that, in India at least.
