Dharam-Agastya starrer Ikkis emerges as most anticipated film

The much-anticipated and raved about film Ikkis has emerged as the most anticipated film. It’s the debut film for Agastya Nanda.
There are a few reasons it feels special:

The film is a biographical war drama that dramatises the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, the youngest ever recipient of India’s Param Vir Chakra. He sacrificed himself at the age of 21 during the 1971 Indo‑Pak War, and the title kkis (meaning 21) marks that pivotal age. The storytelling follows its journey from a bright cadet to a heroic soldier, emphasizing both the battlefield intensity and the emotional bond with his father. It’s the first
full-scale war epic of director Sriram Raghavan, the mastermind behind thrillers like Andhadhun and Badlapur and bringing his signature realism and tight storytelling to the genre

Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films is the producer lending the production the same bold, genre‑bending spirit that’s defined recent hits from his banner.

Agastya Nanda plays the lead, Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal – his first major theatrical role.
Dharmendra plays the role of Arun’s father, Brigadier M.L. Khetarpal, billed as his final screen appearance, adding a generational weight to the story.
Supporting the duo are Jaideep Ahlawat
Sikander Khan
Suniel Shetty
Simar Bhatia and others, forming a strong ensemble.
The film turns out to be special since it pairs a fresh, star‑studded talent (Agastya) and being the last film of Dharmendra, the legend and good songs, all under the fantastic storytelling, a genre‑shifting auteur, telling a poignant slice of Indian military history.
