When the ‘one man industry’ Amitabh Bachchan landed in Surat on Friday to attend the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) match, the scene at the airport turned pandemonium following the congregation of huge crowd for a peek of the ‘one man industry’.Several videos have gone viral online, showing fans surging forward in an attempt to meet the superstar. Police and security personnel were also spotted struggling to maintain distance amid the fans and the actor.
Viral videos also suggest that a glass panel broke amid the commotion; however, Bachchan escaped the incident unhurt.
The clips soon triggered concerns among fans about the veteran star’s safety. One video even features a fan yelling, “Leave him alone, he is 83.”
Later the same evening, the legend made a starry appearance ever enjoying his time, interacting with fellow actors from the film industry. He was also seen taking his front-row seat for the opening ceremony. The actor is a co-owner of Majhi Mumbai along with Neeti Agarwal. The other celebrity-owned teams include Tiigers of Kolkata (Sourav Ganguly, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan), Srinagar Ke Veer (Akshay Kumar), Chennai Singams (Suriya), Bengaluru Strikers (Hrithik Roshan) and Falcon Risers Hyderabad (Ram Charan), alongside new entrants Delhi Superheros (Salman Khan) and Ahmedabad Lions (Ajay Devgn).
