Filmmakers Raj and DK have officially confirmed ‘Farzi Season 2’. The crime thriller series with the return of Shahid Kapoor under their directorial. The audience has been aiting for ‘Farzi: Part 2 ‘since the cliffhanger finale of the first season was aired in 2023.
Their upcoming project “Farzi Season marks the third anniversary of the film’s release. Taking to their official X they posted a teaser image with a stack of counterfeit banknotes with the text “Round 2 in progress” and the hashtag Farzi. Shahid Kapoor reshared the post, signaling his return as Sunny, the artist-turned-unny-like hairstyle, captioned “SUNNY days back soon,” which fueled excitement earlier this month.
Reports suggest Shahid may command a record-breaking OTT fee for his digital comeback. Production aligns with Raj & DK’s work on other projects like ‘Rakht Brahmand.’ The film is a part of the series and continues from the gripping finale of the original film. There is a promise of dark thrillers.
‘Farzi Season 2’ may be released on Prime Video as early as 2027. While no release dates or pictures have been revealed, the “Round 2” tease keeps the hype going. Shahid’s picture with Raj & DK, under which he wrote, “The fakers are back at it,” brings his personal part to the hype machine as well. This renewal revisits one of the biggest hits on Hindi OTT. Sunny’s dupery universe û a comeback, but this time with even greater stakes.
