Going by the recent announcement, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on 25 February unveiled the inaugural  International Film Festival Delhi 2026 scheduled for March 25–31, 2026, at
Bharat Mandapam. 

Organised by the Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation (DTTDC), the festival aims to position Delhi as a global hub for cinema, culture, and creativity.

It will feature over 125 films, masterclasses, and a film market.The event is planned to be a public, city-wide celebration rather than just an industry event. 

The announcement was made by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta alongside officials and industry figures at the Delhi Secretariat.
