Namita Thapar Shark India, -5 loses her cool on Shark Tank India 5

In a harsh Shark Tank India 5 critique, Namita Thapar advised a pitch for pocket ashtrays to shut down, arguing India lacks the “mindset” for such products, as reported.

Other sharks agreed, calling the business unviable and.non-biodegradable.
The entrepreneur (Nihal) pitched a disposable, eco-friendly-looking pocket ashtray designed to tackle littering.
Namita in her feedback strongly advised to shut the business stating, “It’s their duty to tell to stop this business… India doesn’t have the sensibility. Varun Alagh (Honasa Consumer) termed it a waste of time, while Vineeta Singh (SUGAR Cosmetics) noted the product would not solve the awareness problem in India.

*Anupam Mittal (Shaadi.com) criticized the product for being made of plastic regardless its purpose, deeming it a “hobby” business, notes The pitcher did not secure a deal.

In conclusion.the sharks stressed that Indians, at large, aren’t too particular about picking up after themselves, so making them carry their own litter is next to impossible.
