Notably the August 2000 released romantic hit film “Dhadkan” was Shilpa Shetty’s last major movie with Akshay Kumar.
They were the most profitable on-screen pairs in the 1990s (following hits like Main Khiladi Tu Anari).
Dhadkan which actually took three years to produce, was a top musical hit.
The personal breakup created a “casting crisis” as they never worked together again, leaving many planned projects unfinished.
