Meet Sarvapriya Sangwan BBC news Hindi Journalist

Sarvapriya Sangwan, a prominent BBC News Hindi Journalist with BBC News Hindi, recognized for her impactful reporting has been honoured with received multiple accolades, including the Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism Award, which she received for her work covering environment, science & technology, specifically on the impact of uranium mining on the indigenous people of Jadugoda, Jharkhand.

She was also honored by the Indian Institute of Mass Communication Alumni Association (IIMCAA) in February 2025 for her series The Last Man.
Danish Siddiqui Journalism Award 2025: was conferred with Danish Siddiqui Journalism award in May 2025.
Earlier in 2019 honoured with Red Ink Award (2019) and received special mention for her reporting.
Remarkably, she was also honored with the Rising Star of the Year (Finalist): In 2020 was nominated in the global BBC Awards

Reportedly, she has served as a Producer and is currently the Digital Video Editor for BBC’s Indian language services.
