It was an impromptu dance and choreographer Vijay Ganguly revealed that the dance was entirely unplanned. Akshaye, feeling the mood of the scene, asked director Aditya Dhar if he could dance, to which the director agreed.
Akshaye watched the background dancers, absorbed their rhythm, and immediately improvised the now-famous shoulder-driven, casual groove while remaining in character as “Rehman Dakait”.
The scene was completed in one take, with the crew and cast, including co-star Danish Pandor, “stunned” by his natural, effortless performance.
