Nitish Bharadwaj, celebrated for playing Lord Krishna in the 1988 BR Chopra’s directorial “Mahabharat” lauded the teaser of Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, crediting Ranbir Kapoor’s portrayal of Lord Rama as a “global avatar”.
Bharadwaj lauded the film’s ambitious, modern take on the epic, giving his best wishes to the team.

The Nitesh Tiwari directorial film is a two-part epic rumored to be made on a massive ₹4000 crore budget, featuring Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash as Ravana.

While industry figures have lauded the teaser, public reaction is divided, with some praising the grand visuals and others questioning the “cartoonish VFX”.
The first part is scheduled for a theatrical release on Diwali 2026, with the second part following in 2027.

The film, which features music from Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman, aims to bring the Ramayana to a worldwide audience.
