Veteran singer Udit Narayan recalled that regardless delivering hits, he was frequently replaced in films, with his songs dubbed by others—sometimes even by his favorite actors and music directors. Notwithstanding this, he stays positive, focusing on his enduring legacy rather than the pain of past politics, calling himself a “farmer’s son” who stays humble.
He chooses to move forward, comparing his focus to a “steady elephant” to avoid getting stuck on, as per reports, “painful” memories.
He acknowledged that industry politics existed, but he chose to ignore them to focus on work.
He noted that songs like “Jadoo Teri Nazar” and “Pehla Nasha” faced difficulties or competition despite becoming iconic.
The renowned singer takes pride in his songs being remixed and his continued relevance after 47 years in the industry.
