Renowned actress Sarika stages a comeback with “The Family I chose’, exploring modern urban relationships beyond blood ties.
The actress describes the film as a reflection of modern times and a “chosen family” story.
For Sarika, the film comes roughly after three years. Her upcoming film is
set to go on floors in November 2026,
“Family I Chose” is scripted , directed, and self-financed by Kankana Chakraborty, and will be filmed entirely in Sikkim” which Sarika noted as “the reality of their times that needs to be explored creatively”.
The film is produced by Gangtok-based Khangxer Picture Company and focuses on themes of grief, redemption, and human bonds.
