Following the cancellation of the NEET-UG 2026 examination, Rahul Gandhi severely criticised the Modi government, labeling the situation with several strong phrases beyond “crime against youth.
Gandhi alleged that Prime Minister Modi’s much-publicised “Amrit Kaal” has turned into a “Vish Kaal” for the country’s youth.
He stated that the hard work, sacrifices, and dreams of more than 22 lakh students have been “crushed” and remarked that NEET is no longer an exam, saying the future of students was “openly auctioned off in the marketplace”.
He further characterized the scandal as a direct result of “organized corruption in education alleging that the BJP is “a partner in the theft of the future of youth” and protects the “paper mafia. He emphasized that it is not merely a failure of the system but a deliberate, serious crime. Gandhi further noted that these scams are causing immense mental stress, financial burden, and uncertainty for millions of families, asserting that paper leaks will persist until the educational institutions are freed from the influence of the BJP/RSS.
