Pakistani star and Zindagi Gulzar Hai actress Sanam Saeed made a stunning debut at the 79th Cannes Film Festival in a custom-made, white peacock-inspired gown designed by Pakistani designer Hussain Rehar.
The intricate ivory ensemble featured an elaborate fusion of Mukesh, Zardozi, and radiant mirror work, highlighting South Asian artistry on the global stage.
Reportedly, the sculptural couture gown took 50 skilled artisans about 2,354 man-hours to complete.Historical Tribute: Saeed’s appearance was more than a red carpet moment; it paid homage to legendary Pakistani cinema icon Shamim Ara.
She styled the look with a sleek high ponytail adorned with white flowers (gajra), diamond ear cuffs, and a maang tikka by Hanif Jewellers.Cultural Significance: Saeed attended the festival as the inaugural honoree of the South Asian Women Excellence in Cinema & Arts initiative.
