Ajay Devgn, Anubhav Sinha reunite for big-budget action film after 18 years

Marking their first collaboration in 18 years, Ajay Devgn and filmmaker Anubhav Sinha are reuniting for a big-budget action film. The project ends a long-standing period of estrangement that followed their
2007 heist movie “Cash”, with production aiming to go on floors by late 2026.
The 18-year hiatus ended after producer Kumar Mangat Pathak facilitated a meeting between the two, where Sinha pitched a few scripts.
Devgn reportedly liked one of the scripts and requested Sinha to scale it up into a massive, larger-than-life entertainer. Bhushan Kumar of T-Series is expected to join Kumar Mangat to back the ambitious film.
After carving a niche with socially charged, realistic dramas like Mulk and Thappad, Anubhav Sinha returns to the high-octane action space reminiscent of his early hits like Dus and Ra.One.

While the duo famously lost touch after the box-office debacle of Cash in 2007, Sinha clarified in earlier interviews that they never had a personal fight. The fallout was originally rooted in producer-financier disputes on their last film, which led to a nearly two-decade communication gap.
